Barney Bentall is a fine Canadian singer/songwriter dressed up as a Country Gentleman. We caught up with Barney, his son Dustin, and the talented artist Ridley Bent (all with their own records) at their concert in Kelowna. We talk road food, music and, of course, wine.
Wine Trails is one of BC’s “Must Haves”
If you’re touring wine country in the West it’s your guide for making plans and decisions. Maps, info, events, market schedules. Dani Hiebert is Editor/Director of Sales for BC Wine Trails and she joins The Tasting Room, not only on the show but through a link on our website.
We will sit down in the tasting room of Naramata’s award-winning Laughing Stock Vineyards with the owner/growers Cynthia and David Enns.
Find out how they traded their suits for boots!
When Heidi Noble and Michael Dinn announced they were suspending the famous orchard cooking classes at Joie on BC’s Naramata Bench they recommended we all head for Joy Road Catering - so we will.
Cameron Smith and Dana Ewart are true foodies. During the summer you’ll find them at the local markets and during the winter prepping and cooking at their mountain top home.
Local. Organic. Sustainable. They represent Cuisine du Terroir.
Left over from our Sun Peaks Ice Wine experience were two interviews that had to be heard. One is with Gerrit Anderson, BC wine broker, and Don House, Editor of Wine Access Magazine. Two guys who know the Canadian wine industry well. Lots to learn from them.
The second interview is with Josie Heisig from Tourism BC. She helps plan and execute travel plans for wine, food and travel writers from other parts of Canada and the world. She has some great stories to tell.
Of course Daenna Van Mulligen – the Wine Diva is back for her weekly wine review. This week it’s the wines of Chile and next week a primer on the Vancouver Playhouse wine festival, the largest in Canada.
There’s more, of course, but hey there has to be some surprises.
Much like life itself.
Enjoy!!
