Segment 1
The Buzz on Food and Wine with Kasey Wilson and Tony Gismondi. Their show is now in its 12th year on Vancouver radio. Both Tony and Kasey are leaders in their fields…couldn’t have a better opening to the show.
Segment 2
The 14th annual Okanagan Spring Wine Festival begins May 1st and for the first time extends to 10 very full days, May 1 thru 10!! We can’t talk about everything but we’ll do our best with Co-ordinator Blair Baldwin and President Gary Reynolds (Lake Breeze Winery).
Segment 3
Part of the Okanagan Spring Wine Festival is Naramata Unfiltered…a chance for anyone attending to access a crash course in all things wine…one-on-one sessions with winemakers and growers. Get all the details right here from Rhys Pender, WSET; Cynthia Enns, Laughing Stock Winery; and Miranda Halladay, Elephant Island Winery.
Segment 4
A feature interview on the streets of Vancouver with Ray Signorello, owner of the Napa winery which bears his name. He lives two lives, making wine on the Golden Mile in Napa, California, and living the good life in West Vancouver. He gives us a sneak peak at a future wine festival coming to West Vancouver.
HOUR TWO
The interviews in this hour concern themselves with the 5th annual Banée gathering in the wine capitol of Canada, Oliver, BC. Its the one time of the year that all the winemakers from the South Okanagan have the time to get together and party. As ruling President, it was my pleasure to attend and hand off the chain of office to Richard Cleave, legendary South Okanagan grower and mentor.
