One heck of a Road Trip!

On board the Rocky Mountaineer…the wine express..arriving in Calgary to find out exactly what kind of food and wine town Calgary is.

Then to the Okanagan Fall Wine Festival..and a walk through the West Jet Tasting Room..a star chef throw down at Cabana Grille and a survey that says..at least 50% of men have no idea how to properly cut a roasted turkey..we’re here to help!!

THE SHOW

We start in Kamloops, BC by stepping on board the posh Rocky Mountaineer Train and tasting wines with wine expert Jurgen Gothe..all the way through the Rockies and into Calgary.

We’re met in Calgary by Travel Alberta and several other journalists. We then launch into a 48 hour food and wine blitz trying to find the answer to the question..”What kind of food and wine town is Calgary?”

We visit:

There’s more but we ran out of space..they’ll be on in a couple of weeks.

Then it’s the 29th Annual Okanagan Fall Wine Festival in Kelowna, BC.

A quick chat with organizer Blair Baldwin and then its full on into the din of the West Jet Tasting Room.

We talk to:

There’s also more interviews just not enough room in the show..they too will be run later.

Then it’s off to Cabana Grille in Kelowna and a chef throw down between Ned Bell and Wayne Martin of Crave..I just tried to stay out of the way..things get nasty in the kitchen.

We also work the room at various chefs and tasting stations..Mission Hill, Sumac Ridge, etc.

And finally we come to Thanksgiving..there’s a survey out there that says 70% of men are very uncomfortable carving a turkey.

So we offer a crash course with Dino Renearts of Diva at the Met and Roberto Vincente of Spain’s Campo Viejo.

WE ALSO CLOSE THE SHOW WITH THE NAMES OF THE WINERIES WHO WON BIG AT THE WINE FESTIVAL…

Enjoy!
